The Dranjer FN2 is a special-designed floor drain valve which lets liquid drain, but prevents gases (radon, odours, and bugs) from coming up. FN2 is suitable for installation alongside a sub-slab depressurization systems drawing up to 1.25 inches of water column (measured at the drain). We use this product in newer homes to connect to the standard 2” ABS pipe (fitting included). The FN2 can also be installed on sump pit covers to extend functionality beyond the primary sump pit purpose of draining weeping tiles. With an FN2 installed on an otherwise sealed sump pit, the sump pit can provide some emergency relief to help reduce the impact of basement flooding events (e.g., pipe bursting).
